WAH WAH

The play The Miracle Worker is divided into three acts and I must admit I have already read the whole play so I cannot expect what will happen but anyway here is the plot. :-)

Act I
As I already mantioned the beginning of The Miracle Worker I will continue with events that happend after Annie's arrival. Immediately after that Annie gets to work. She is not very succesful.Whenever Helen wants something she spells it to her hand. They begin with DOLL and CAKE. Unfortunately Helen is used to the reality that she gets everything without any trouble so she gets bored with the spelling. She hits Annie with the doll and lockc her. Annie is rescued through a window and a ladder. After all Helen drops the key to the well. Annie sees it but is leaving with a smile.

Act II
Act II beggins at Annie's rooms where Helen is again destroying things but each of them is spelled out into her hand. While Annie is trying to explain Kate that firstly Helen has to understand what a word is and then she can learn what spelling is.
Next morning during the breakfast Helen is fooling around, behaving badly. Annie cannot stand it and strikes out an dispute. She sends everybody away. After lot of fightings she wins. The result is that Helen finally uses a spoon and she even folds her napkin.
This succes is not everlasting because Captain does not like the unconventional way of Annie's acting. Eventually they make a deal. Annie could take Helen for one week. She wants total isolation in purpose to make Helen dependent on her.So they drive her around to confuse her and take her to the garden house. Helen is angry, not letting Annie touch so she spells something into servants hand. Helen starts to trust her again, falling asleep.

Act III
The week of separation is almost over and Helen still does not know the true meaning of those signs however she has learnt some of them. Annie is really frustrated and demands more time but the family is so excited to have Helen back home that they do not allow it.
Coming back home means coming back to the old behaviour. Everything Helen has learnt is endangered. Helen hits Annie by a pitcher of water. Annie is really pissed off. She grabs her and drags her to the water pump, spelling water into her plam. A miracle is happening now because Helen finally finds out the magic of spelling and the fact that everything has a name.
